Unless you live in a colder region, for instance…up North, you probably have a bunch of fun in the snow, but for those of us who live in the South, snow is a very rare treat. Besides the obvious building a snowman, making snow angels, and having a snowball fight, what are other ways to have fun in the snow?
Since I have always lived in the South, we only got a couple good snows a year (maybe) when my brother and I were little. We’d spend hours outside throwing snowballs at each other, building a snowman family and dog, making a bunch of snow angels, playing hide and seek (with bare trees and bright-colored coats, too..), and sledding down our neighbors back yard with cookie sheets (does that tell you how often we got snow? Cookie sheets as sleds…go figure!). I always wonder how long my brother and I could have lasted if my mom had a Pinterest account way-back-when to find all these fun ideas…we’d probably be completely frozen solid.

Snow Patterns – Learning shapes
Yep, I would have loved doing all of these fun ideas. I mean, really…painting snow??? I was always told to stay away from yellow snow, but to paint a snowman yellow on purpose…sweet! Or making an ice sculpture with a bunch of colors, that would be so fun! Yeah…the internet can really bring some creativity out for children, especially if you look on Pinterest!
