It is at the very beginning of the Bible that it is stated that “In the beginning God created…” (Genesis 1:1)
Throughout my homeschool journey, I was always given many things for me to learn about the beginning. The beginning God created. The seven days of creation and all that were created within each day.
All the resources I have read instilled in me the desire to be a creationist. A person, who in all circumstances will never doubt that the world was designed and brought to life by the simple words of God.
The books I have listed below are some of the books I highly recommend for you and your children, friends and family. I’m including books for all ages, because the sooner creation is introduced, taught, and instilled in your child, the more solid their faith in Christ will be!
Top Books for Creation:
- A is for Adam
This book is full of fun for your little ones, teaching them biblical insights from the book of Genesis from A to Z! I’m positive this will become a fast favorite.
- D is for Dinosaur
I remember just loving this book as a little girl. It even came with a VHS that read it to you, which my brother and I watched often. It is just a great little rhyme book for young children. They have now updated it, and the drawings are so cute!
- God Made Series
This series is in an “Easy-Reader” format, which is really special. My brother was partly taught how to read with these! The books are packed full with wonderful information about the things God Made on certain days, with brilliant photographs. Really cute, fun, and easy book for your soon-to-be reader.
- Dinosaurs of Eden
One of my favorite books! My brother’s, too. When I was little, my brother and I would curl up beside mom while she read it to us for school. This was when my brother was BIG into Dinosaurs. As a homeschooler, my mom decided to take his love of dinosaurs, and turn it into an educational experience. The things we learned…
- Skeletons in Your Closet
Really cool book! One thing that surprised me, was that it was NOT dry and boring, it actually had the opposite affect! I couldn’t wait to listen to more of it. The pictures of amazing, holding your child’s attention, and the lessons we learned were inconceivable! Skeletons in Your Closet teaches about where humans came from (Adam & Eve), talks about the “real” cavemen, and other genetics things.
- Adam and His Kin
This book goes really into depth of the descendents of Adam. Where they were, where they went, and how they lived. Read this book and High School and had a fun time reading it.
- Genesis: Finding Our Roots
Now this was OUTSTANDING! So much information, from Adam to Seth, from Seth to Noah, and beyond! It was really cool to compare the legends from different regions in the world with that of the Bible! Who knew that the Chinese word for boat, originated from the story of Noah?
There is much more than the books I have listed. I just decided to list the ones I have personally read. Surely, there are a ton more that will make you just amazed at how wonderful God made everything “beautifully and wonderfully made.”
What book have you read that you absolutely love?
