You can call me a tomboy or you can call me strange, but I used to devour survival books when I was younger. I thought is would be the coolest thing ever to go out in the woods and use the skills I learned from the survival books I had read, like collecting water, making a fire in the rain, building a shelter, etc.
I loved learning all the different knots in the survival books. I liked learning how to tell what direction you were going during the middle of the day, by building a clock. It was just the coolest thing ever to learn all the many things you could do to survive out in the middle of no where.
I’m sure your boys have that same feeling…at least my brothers do!
