Being a Christian girl once myself, I know how hard it can be in the modern time, where beautiful is defined only on the outward appearance, versus on the heart. It isn’t easy.
It was hard for me growing up, fighting myself with my own lack of confidence in how I looked and felt, and seeing what the world was portraying a beautiful girl to be… it is even worse today! I can’t even imagine how much worse it is going to get when I have daughters of my own!
In the world we live in today, filled with a defined beauty of super skinny, clear skin, and straight-teethed women, it is more of a struggle to give your daughter the confidence booster they need, plus raise them in the way of the Lord, teaching them the true beauty of a Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 woman.
Thankfully, I have been blessed with a mother, who has made it a priority to teach me and raise me in the right way. Ever since I can remember, she has shown me how to be modest, taught me how to take care of the home, all the while making me feel beautiful on the outside.
She taught me that beauty isn’t just about how I look, but it is about how I act toward others that makes me more attractive to Christ and to others.
