My favorite genre of books is historical fiction, and I was asked a question a little more than a week ago, from a reader, about what are some good Christian written/clean historical fiction books for teens – girls and boys. I had a couple come to mind right away, but then I had to think if they were for teens, because to be honest, I read a lot of historical fiction for tweens. Don’t ask me why, because I really don’t know. It is just what I pick up. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I know they are probably safer than most and that the array of historical fiction for tweens is wide, either way, they are what I read the most of.
With the question from my reader, I went searching. I already knew a few of them, because I’ve read and loved all of them, but there were also a few that has been on my list for a couple of months/year and I thought I would share them with you!
I hope that this list of historical fiction books will help you and your teen unlock a world of history while giving your child a book that keeps their attention. *Disclaimer: don’t blame me if you can’t pull your child away from the books. Blame the authors. *winks*

I love getting my hands on books like the ones above. I find myself engrossed in the pages of each of these stories from the very first page. These books are more than just pages of words, they are stories of brave men and women from times past. True, maybe they aren’t exactly biographies of the people, but they do tell of a time when the people we know most were young and living.
